READY-MIXED CONCRETE ECOSYSTEM

JP's Ready-Mixed Concrete (RMC) Ecosystem serves as a "one-of-a-kind" port-centric ecosystem facility that integrates components of the construction supply chain such as RMC batching plants, a construction aggregates (sand and granite) terminal with handling and storage capabilities, with vital construction-related raw materials such as cement and steel which are also handled at JP. The co-location of construction aggregates, cement and steel handling in JP will enable shorter, leaner, and greener landward and seaward supply chains for construction materials in Singapore.

Advanced technologies and features that have been incorporated in the design and development of the RMC Ecosystem to improve efficiency, enhance safety and sustainability include:

DEEP BERTHS

Vertical deep waterfront access for bulkers eliminates double handling thereby lowering cost for distant sourcing of construction aggregates. With 547 metres of wharf length, the RMC Ecosystem can support the berthing of up to three barges at any one time.

ENCLOSED AGGREGATES STORAGE FACILITY

This facility offers a fully enclosed environment that shields construction aggregates from weather elements and allows for higher stacking compared to open- air stockpiles. This design maximises storage efficiency and maintains the quality of the construction aggregates.

CONVEYANCING SYSTEM

The quayside conveying system comprises both fixed and movable conveyors along the wharf and will reduce the dependency on tipper trucks. Construction aggregates can be transported via the RMC Ecosystem's fully enclosed and automatic conveyancing system to the storage facility and RMC batching plant, thereby improving operational efficiency, safety and environmental sustainability greatly.

BALANCE CRANES

To ensure efficient and safe discharge of construction aggregates, the RMC Ecosystem leverages on three balance cranes to handle the job smoothly. JP is committed to providing a seamless integrated solution from berth planning to cargo handling to storage.

COMMON USER FACILITIES

By consolidating the common needs of our customers, the RMC Ecosystem enables common non-core activities to be pooled from individual organisations so that shared common user facilities and services can be established, for e.g. centralised recycling, truck washing and office space. The pooling of such services will substantially lower costs and facilitate adoption of new technologies, hence allowing our tenants to focus on their core business activities - such as batching concrete - and increase their competitiveness.
